And so it begins…
Another chapter in the long history of Kelsey’s over-the-top adventures. It started in 2007 with Cancervive. Sure I can ride a bike…to Austin… I had the fortune to celebrate my 27th birthday in Austin TX receiving 28 birthday bumps (one for good luck) from some truly amazing teammates. When I turned 28 I did the Kelowna Apple sprint triathlon and thought ‘sure I can take on Ironman Canada…’. Another year another group of amazing people. Now in my 29th year I take on Africa. Being fortunate to have been hired on as Assistant Tour Director/Communications for the 2010 Tour d’Afrique. When asked how I was able obtained such a position I can only say… I am very lucky. After months and months of fretting and packing and repacking gear. I depart for Calgary the first leg. Mission: Final visit with friends and family. Having already received such a tremendous send off from my truly amazing friends in Victoria Calgary has a lot to live up to.
